Such diversity topics included: race, sex, gender, environmental racism, discrimination, prejudice, language accents. There was discussion between faculty members on how they taught diversity in the classroom and the discomfort between students and faculty. Williams handed out a dialogue paper exercise for the faculty members to advance the way they were teaching diversity in the academic arena. Williams talked about what he has heard from students in the Multicultural office on diversified teachings in the classroom. Williams suggested that faculty members teach lessons through several different viewpoints to give diversity and the subject the value needed in the classroom and for the assignment. Williams stated that faculty members must stand in the diversity circle where others refuse to stand.
