This video titled, "Ernest A. Koury, Sr., Business Center: John Glenn Dedication," was raw video / audio (which contains the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business) on September 7, 2006. The dedication ceremony video began with John Herschel Glenn Jr., who was a former aviator, engineer, astronaut, and United States Senator. Glenn introduced his wife, Annie (Anna Margaret Casto) Glenn (Annie was not seen in the photo). Glenn stated, "He and Annie are on the board of their alma mater, Muskingum College, in New Concord, Ohio. Glenn talked about how dedicating a new building was an affair. Glenn appreciated being a part of the business school dedication. Glenn was honored to see so many students in the audience because it was the students that the university was thinking about when new buildings were built. Glenn talked about ethical business protocols and that students needed to be taught this. "All successful businesses these days, want to give back to the community," said Glenn. Leadership roles are important to teach our students attending higher education. Glenn said, "Students need to learn the economics of the business both globally and domestically." Glenn spoke about the large change in the United States economy. Glenn said, "The Glenn"s are honored to be at Elon University and sign a metal beam for the Ernest A. Koury, Sr., Business Center (the university archives in Belk Library has a back-up version of the Glenn"s signature on the beam)." Glenn stated, "So I am going to be a part of Elon for a long period of time." Laughter. The end of the raw clip.
