This video titled, “First Amendment: Religion PSA,” was one of five Public Service Announcements (PSA) pre-produced by two Elon unknown named students. In this particular video a student was starting a new religion on campus and chanting as he sat by a tree (in 2016, near Speakers Corner). The second student came walking up insisting what his was doing. The friend responded, “Creating a new religion and you can give me, directly, twenty dollars.” The student walked away. The intention was to further the student’s first amendment rights with Freedom of Religion. The First Amendment in the Unites States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, ensuring that there is no prohibition on the free exercise of religion. The First Amendment was adopted on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten amendments that constitute the Bill of Rights.
