This video titled, Ever Elon Campaign Conclusion Rally, was the Elon University community gathering to celebrate surpassing the historic $100 million Ever Elon fundraising goal at Rally Elon. This festive event was held on October 21, 2011 and attracted a Homecoming Weekend crowd to Rhodes Stadium. Elon University continued to count gifts toward the final tally of Ever Elon, the campaign for the future of the university through December 31, 2011. The campaign total as of October 21, 2011 was $105,662,630. The Ever Elon event included motivational speakers and a video to highlight the success of the campaign. Connie Book (2017 named the 9th Elon University President) welcomed the audience to the celebration. Book stated, I join you tonight as a grateful member of the Elon community and as a proud Elon donor. Tonight, we will hear from the members of our community about whatever Elon means to them. So sit back and enjoy as we rally support tonight for Elon University. We are all Elon, Ever Aspiring, Ever Community, Ever Engaging, Ever Transforming, Ever Enduring, and Ever Elon. Leo Lambert closed the celebration event. He stated, When we kicked off the public phase of this campaign, we chose the name Ever Elon because we are focused on the long-term future of this great university…The campaign priority was to build Elon’s endowment, and our community responded with nearly $53 million in endowment gifts, commitments, and planned gifts that will benefit students and faculty for generations to come. The conclusion of Ever Elon is really just the beginning of the tremendous impact that philanthropy is making on the people and programs of our university. I want to send a heart-felt thank you to everyone who played a role in reaching this historic goal. Ever Elon also included an important set of fundraising goals for campus facilities. Gifts to the campaign have provided funding for the following facilities: Lindner Hall, home of Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences; renovation of a portion of the Gerald L. Francis Center to support the launch of the physician assistant studies master’s degree program; alumni field house, which includes Hendrickson Football Center, renovation of alumni gym to include Robertson Court and related athletics facilities in Koury Center; Worsley Golf Training Center; renovations to Latham Park, including a new baseball playing field and drainage system; construction of the Student Professional Development Center in Moseley Center; Numen Lumen Pavilion, Elon’s new multi-faith center that will be the sixth and final pavilion in the Academic Village; and Hunt Softball Park to be constructed west of Rhodes Stadium. Lambert called all the speakers to the podium before he spoke. Following Lambert’s speech, a firework display occurred over Rhodes Stadium (the fireworks cannot be seen on the video, only the audio can be heard). Speakers included: Andrew Somers, a Georgeo Scholar, Class of 2012; George Johnson, Dean, Elon University School of Law; Alison Morrison-Sheltar, Dean, Elon College, The College of Arts and Sciences; Matt Matheny, Head Men’s Basketball Coach; Ian Baltutis, Class of 2008; Sam Troy, Class of 1967; Sarah Thomas, Class of 2005, MBA, Class of 2009; Nicole Morillo, Susan Scholar, Class of 2012; Allen E.
