This video titled, Christmas Cheer Video Production: CD, began in July of 2006 with Bryan Baker, Senior Audio Producer, Elon University, who gathered people and recorded musical Christmas songs. Elon University’s Project Pericles made possible the time for Baker to produce a Christmas CD project through its Service Sabbatical Program. This program allowed for employees to be relieved of their university responsibilities to work for a community organization or to complete a project. The production of this recording was an example of such a service sabbatical. Baker produced this video while he gathered Alamance County Musicians who created a compilation of eclectic holiday music performed by local artists and recorded at the Elon University sound studio. All participating artists donated their time and talents to bring Alamance County community a very special and unique Christmas Cheer CD gift. All of the Christmas Cheer CD proceeds from this recording benefitted Christmas Cheer of Alamance County. This local organization provided gifts for underprivileged children that otherwise would have nothing on Christmas morning. Christmas Cheer also provided food and means for warmth for needy families of all faiths during the cold winter months.
