This paper is a summary of a panel organized by Robert Sigmon in 1987 at the NSIEE conference. The panel featured six experienced leaders in programs that link community service and education. Sigmon asks the participants what major issue are you and your organization dealing with now, what keeps you going, what is it at your core that keeps you involved with experiential education, and how do we change the trend away from integrated service-learning.
