Sigmon's article is a personal response to A Policy Blueprint for Community Service and Youth Employment published by the Roosevelt Centennial Youth Project. Sigmon mentions NSIEE and its power to demonstrate the benefits of learner empowerment and workplace educational awareness. By sharing power with students, we prepare them to preform well in the workplace. Sigmon hopes that NSIEE will continue to link youth with opportunities for doing and learning.
