The Koury Business Center is located on the corner of Dalton McMichael Drive and North O’Kelly Avenue on Elon University’s Campus in Elon, North Carolina. The Business Center, named for former Elon trustee Ernest A. Koury by his brother Maurice J. Koury, was completed in 2006. The home of Elon’s business education program is a 60,000 square-foot facility with state of the art technologies. The center includes a 240-seat digital theatre, finance trading room, faculty offices, classrooms, entrepreneurship center, professional sales center, executive education center, and professional development center. Elon University received commitments totaling to $9,804,569 (as of April 8, 2005) in order for them to construct the Koury Business Center. The new Business School was a goal of the NewCentury@Elon strategic plan adopted by the trustees in October 2000. The addition of the Koury Business Center helped to improve Elon’s business program drastically.
