Loy Center is the location for 12 Greek houses on Elon’s campus. It’s located North of Moseley center. Loy was built in 1988-1989 and initially only had 6 Greek houses. Each house had a living room, meeting room, kitchen, and bedrooms to house 10-11 members. Six additional Greek houses were built in 1997, bringing the center to its current total of 12. The Greek court was dedicated as the Loy Center in honor of William E. Loy Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth Apple Loy in 1997. All of the houses are LEED Platinum certified after their renovations in 2011.
