The Caroline D. McCoy Commons Building is the common building of The Oaks neighborhood located off of North Williamson Avenue on Elon University’s campus in Elon, North Carolina. The building was made possible by a generous gift from Carol and Hal McCoy who gifted to Elon’s Campus Conservancy Endowment to sustain the University’s beautiful facilities. Carol McCoy is a longtime Greensboro resident and a former teacher of the Greensboro/Guilford County school system. The building features meeting rooms, a student lounge with a kitchen, and offices for Elon Campus Safety and Police. McCoy Commons is the center of student activity at The Oaks and replaced the Jordan Center along Williamson Avenue, opposite the Koury Center and the Center for the Arts.
