Hook, Brannock, and Barney halls are three linked residence halls located west of the Academic Village. The halls are named after Dean Alonzo Hook, and professors Ned Brannock and John Barney. When the halls were built, they housed 136 students, more than any other campus dorm at the time. The halls were financed by a $633,000 loan from the Housing and Home Finance Agency of the United States Government. Rooms in Hook, Brannock, and Barney are suites that include four double rooms and one bathroom. The halls are the only residence hall on campus with quad-style rooms.
