The R.N. Ellington Health and Counseling Center was originally built and housed in the current Center for Leadership building just North of Moseley and South of the Greek houses. The center was funded by a gift from Robert N. and Helen Ellington along with other gifts. It was named in honor of Dr. Ellington, who had been the campus physician for 15 years, and was dedicated to him in 2001. The building was relocated to South Campus in 2011. The new building has expanded resources including nine medical exam rooms, a procedure room, blood drawing and allergy labs, a larger waiting area, a pharmacy, and separate offices for Counseling Services. The building was rededicated to Ellington in 2013.
