Despite women becoming a growing share of entrepreneurs, in a global context, female entrepreneurs and their well-being have remained under researched. My research aims to examine how female entrepreneurs around Elon, North Carolina experience entrepreneurship through the lens of well-being, ill-being, and various life factors such as parenthood. My central research question is: How does the experience of female entrepreneurship influence well-being, and what strategies do women use to manage it? To analyze and draw conclusions I utilized qualitative, grounded theory approached by conducting 13 semi-structured interviews with varying commitment level and parental status. I discovered that well-being is shaped by the context of each entrepreneur's life such as being a mom, stage of venture, and community support. Ill-being was present through imposter syndrome and navigating role conflict, while well-being was present through meaningful purpose and self-belief. The most relevant factor for all women in improving well-being is community and support.
